Chaplaincy volunteers visit the wards every weekday morning and on Sunday to assist with the distribution of Holy Communion to those who wish to receive it.  We visit in order to listen to you and to pay attention to you.  Our job is not to preach at you but to be there when you need us, to listen to what you have to say and offer our support.  We can arrange for you to be visited by a Chaplain if you would find that helpful.

If you are a Christian we offer Holy Communion, the Anointing of the Sick, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Prayer and Bible reading.  In every locker there are Gideon’s New Testaments. If you are of another faith we can arrange access to a number of sacred texts and religious objects which you can use to help your spiritual practice.

If you are a friend or relative of a patient and would like us to visit them whilst they are in hospital, then please contact the Chaplaincy on 01322 428100 ext. 4640.
