Group A Strep (GAS) Guidance
Group A Strep infections can cause a number of different symptoms such as a sore throat, impetigo (which is a skin infection), and fever.
In very rare cases Group A Strep bacteria can cause a more serious illness known as invasive Group A Strep where hospital treatment may be required.
