Monday 9^th March to Sunday 15^th March 2026 is Healthcare Science Week.

Healthcare science week is an annual week of celebration and awareness-raising for the many careers in healthcare science.

Healthcare Science Week is a fantastic opportunity to showcase to the local community and fellow health professionals how science and technology are at the heart of modern patient care, transforming lives every day. It also provides a powerful platform for healthcare science staff to inspire the next generation by highlighting exciting career pathways within healthcare science.

Come and find us in the DVH main hospital entrance corridor on Monday 9^th March 2026 where we will host a stand full of information and goodies.

Our Renal Team will be marking World Kidney Day on Thursday 12 March with activities designed to raise awareness of kidney health across the Trust.

Main Foyer: Cycling and Rowing Challenge
From 9am, staff are invited to join a friendly cycling and rowing challenge in the main foyer. The Renal team will be available to talk about kidney health and answer questions throughout the morning.

Quiz Tea Trolley: Visiting Adult Wards
Also beginning at 9am, the team will take a Quiz Tea Trolley to adult wards. Staff can take part in quick quizzes and chat informally with the team about kidney health and the services we provide.

All staff are encouraged to get involved, take part in the activities, and speak with the team on the day.
