Here at DGT we want to ensure that you have the best possible experience. Patients, carers, friends and family are welcome to leave feedback at any point. Your feedback will help us to improve our hospital services and celebrate our successes with those members of staff who looked after you. 

Here at DGT we use a national feedback tool called ‘The Friends and Family Test’ (FFT) to collect and collate patient and service user feedback. The FFT asks one question, ‘Overall, how would you rate your experience of our service?’ with answers ranging from very good to very poor. There is a additional follow up question that asks why you have given your answer. We would really appreciate you explaining what it was we did well, or not so well, as this gives us the really rich data that we can use to either celebrate with our teams or identify and pinpoint any areas of improvement.

The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is an important feedback tool that supports the fundamental principle that people who use NHS services should have the opportunity to provide feedback on their experience. Listening to the views of patients and staff helps identify what is working well, what can be improved and how.

The FFT asks people about their experience of services they have used and offers a range of responses.

The FFT provides a way to highlight both good experience and opportunities for improvement. This kind of feedback will help us to improve NHS services.
