What we offer
The accommodation is located on the Darent Valley Hospital grounds. The accommodation blocks are a two-minute walk from the hospital on a well-lit path within the hospital grounds. There are three categories of accommodation available:
1. Single rooms
The single rooms are for one-person occupancy and share an en-suite with one other person, the kitchen and lounge area is shared with a maximum of 7 other tenants depending on occupancy levels. The rooms are ready for occupants to move straight into - bed linen, blankets, towels and kitchen appliances are all provided, just bring your personal belongings including toiletries. Electric, parking and Wi-Fi are all included in the price.
PLEASE NOTE that children under the age of 16 cannot be accommodated in the single accommodation.

2. Two and three bedroom flats
The two and three bedroom flats are available for up to six month periods for the purpose of relocation. Long term accommodation is available in surrounding areas via private landlords. There is a limited number of flats available and they are popular. Electric and Television License are NOT included in family accommodation charges and need to be paid for separately by the tenant. Further details regarding the short term tenancy agreement is available on request.
It is a mandatory requirement that tenants sign a tenancy agreement prior to moving into the property.

Charges
There are two methods of payment for accommodation:
1. Automatic salary deductions via payroll
For those tenants who are DGT employees, accommodation payments are made via a payroll deduction (post tax).
Single Room – Salary Deduction via Payroll
DGT staff Night £25
DGT staff week charge £140
Single monthly room £599
Flats – Salary Deduction via Payroll
2 bed flat monthly £986 + £118 council tax
3 bed flat monthly £1195 + £137 council tax
2. Invoices
For those tenants who are not on DGT Payroll must prepay their accommodation via the Hospital Cashier prior to check in.

A change of process
Accommodation deposits will now be taken in full prior to commencement of your accommodation contract.
