Dr Manghat, having completed Specialist registrar training in Chemical Pathology in the South Thames Rotation of London Deanery, was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2010. During this period, she had extensive training in the management of metabolic conditions namely Lipids, Renal stone and Osteoporosis. This included experience under the expert Lipid and Metabolic Bone disease specialists at Guys and St. Thomas Hospital, London (2005-2009) and with the Renal stone specialist at Epsom General Hospital (2009-2010). She completed an MSc in Biochemistry from the London University in 2005.  Dr Manghat also completed a research project during her training at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital and was awarded an MD from King’s College London.

As a Chemical Pathologist, Dr Manghat provides advice on Biochemical investigations to all the laboratory users including the GPs. With nearly 10 years of experience in lipid management she established the Lipid Clinic at Darent Valley Hospital making this service available locally. Dr Manghat runs the Renal Stone prevention clinic within the Stone Centre at DVH. She is also part of the Nutrition team providing parenteral nutrition to hospital patients.
