The Trust is very pleased to announce that Walnut ward has won the Video of the Year Award at the annual vCreate Diaries Awards!
vCreate is a video messaging service that was set up and designed for families whose babies are in neonatal care. It gives staff the option to extend the care we provide to our families back home, keeping them connected when their babies are with us on the unit. We were the first Special Care Baby Unit to introduce the service back in 2018 and we are incredibly grateful to Little Buds for funding this since then.
Families nominate photos and videos for the awards and Walnut ward was nominated by baby Lilly's mum. The winning video we sent to her showed Lilly was in her own clothes for the first time and with her feeding tube out.
