On Wednesday 31st May, members of the Cancer Services team held a Patient Engagement Event at Eastgate Church. The event was also supported by the Trust Patient & Public Engagement Lead, the Macmillan Cancer Support Strategic Partnership Manager for Surrey, Sussex & Kent and the Macmillan Cancer Support Engagement Manager.
The purpose of the event was to elicit patients' and carers' views on upcoming projects and also to ascertain the usefulness of the information they receive from Cancer Services.
The staff were delighted with the turnout and the engagement of those who attended. The patients and carers expressed the benefit of having these events as it allowed them the opportunity to influence change.
