Rohan has joined the Trust as our new Asst. Director for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). He is responsible for delivering our strategy to create an inspiring inclusive culture and working environment, where all colleagues can grow and achieve their potential. He will driving cultural changes, embed equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the Trust, so that we become an employer of choice in the region.
Rohan said "I have always been passionate about EDI and this has been a constant thread throughout my career. I started my EDI journey clinically and then in research, working with diverse communities and groups that often feel excluded. Outreach to communities in regards to barriers and access to health services has been a part of my work. Confronting and preventing racism and all forms of discrimination will always be a priority for me. Diversity and inclusion for me is integral to how we attract, retain, develop and engage our staff and team relationships with one another. An inclusive workplace is crucial for both our wellbeing and that of the community we serve.
I hope that working together, we can embed inclusion and create positive culture change in line with our Trust values."
