Surgery is performed by our experienced specialists and surgeons to treat the full range of non-complex general surgery procedures and services.
This service is operating as a fully staffed 5-day theatre service and 7-day ward area.
Endoscopy
Endoscopic evaluation and surgical treatment of upper gastrointestinal and small bowel disorders are provided by our Endoscopy Team in the Day Care Centre at Darent Valley Hospital and the Endoscopy Centre in the Newland Building at the Planned Care Centre, Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup.
Referrals
Referrals can be made by GPs through the NHS e-Referral service or by a hospital consultant. Urgent suspected cancer GP referrals are seen within two weeks through the fast-track system via our cancer referral office.
