The Heart Centre opened in January 2007 and is an integrated cardiac catheter lab and day ward to perform procedures such as coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty/stenting, PPM, ICD and reveal device insertions.
Cardiac Physiology services offers:
- Exercise Tolerance Testing
- Echocardiograms
- PPM/ICD interrogation and optimisation clinics
- 24/72 hour and 7 day ECG recordings
- Standard 12 Lead ECG service 9am - 12pm and 1pm - 3.30pm, Monday-Friday (appointment only)
- Tilt Test service in conjunction with Elderly Care Consultants
- 24 hour blood pressure monitoring; are now offered in the Heart Centre
In addition, the centre accommodates an expanded multidisciplinary team with complimentary skills to provide an even wider range of advanced cardiac care; these include:
- DC Cardioversion clinic (procedure only)
- The Heart Function Clinic
- Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic
