Dr Jun Cheong

Dr Jun Cheong is a Consultant Cardiologist with a special interest in non-invasive cardiac imaging. He has worked in the NHS for over 20 years and has extensive experience in advanced echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI, and is responsible for the development of advanced cardiac imaging at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. He works across Darent Valley Hospital in Kent, Queen Mary’s Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London (Honorary Consultant with King’s College London).

Dr Cheong completed his medical training at Edinburgh University and his cardiology training in the East of England. He also completed a cardiac MRI fellowship at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. He is accredited for echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI with EACVI (Europe), BSCI/BSCCT (United Kingdom), and SCMR (USA), demonstrating his expertise and commitment to his field.

In his role as a Consultant Cardiologist, Dr Cheong manages a range of heart conditions, including ischaemic heart disease / coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias and valvular heart disease. He places a strong emphasis on the importance of maintaining a healthy heart, and heart disease prevention.
