As well as today being a day of reflection and 12 months since the first lockdown it is also 12 months to the day that we welcomed out first cohort of doers through the doors of DGT.

We are sure you will agree that life at DGT wouldn’t have been the same without them. They have worked tirelessly supporting the Trust delivering PPE, snack bags, Easter eggs, patient property and staff goodie bags. They have also provided some much needed support in admin areas and wellbeing areas and on tea trollies and have done this with enthusiasm and professionalism.

30 doers were originally recruited in the first wave and we have since recruited a further 24 doers for wave 2. Some of the original doers are still part of the team and some have moved on to more permanent roles within the organisation. The doers have had 3 leads so far, Deb McAllion, Di Gambrell and currently Dee Claxton. There certainly maybe something about the letter D!

A big thank you to the doers for wanting to be part of #teamDGT and for everything they have done and supported with over the past 12 months.
