Our Research Team opened a trial on the LOCI: Letrozole or Clomifene, with or without metformin, for ovulation induction in women with polycystic ovary syndrome in February 2021. The research trial investigates the clinical and cost-effectiveness of letrozole or clomifene, with or without metformin, for ovulation induction in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
The great news is that DGT has now been ranked number 1 in the top 10 recruiting site for the trial and has also had its first successful pregnancy after just one cycle. It’s the joint work of our fertility team together with the research team that resulted in these wonderful results.
Our fertility team thrives to provide high-standard care to our patients and participation in such research would help find the evidence of managing patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome. Well done everyone involved.
