Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust (DGT) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Jackie Craissati as their new Chair.

Jackie is a consultant clinical and forensic psychologist by profession, with over 25 years of NHS experience working in mental health services. Since 2016, Jackie has been the Chair of Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), where she will continue her role as Chair, in addition to taking up her role with DGT. Jackie succeeds Peter Coles, who joined the Trust in 2013.

Jonathan Wade, Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jackie to our organisation, and look forward to working with her as we take forward our plans for better healthcare for all in the communities we serve. Jackie will bring a wealth of experience and I hope you’re excited as me about the future of DGT.”

“I would also like to thank Peter for his long and dedicated service to Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. Peter has made a huge contribution to our Board, our organisation, and to our local communities, and is widely respected across the NHS.”

Jackie said: “I am excited to be joining DGT and I truly believe collaboration is key to the future of our services to ensure that we are all on the same page when it comes to doing right by our patients and local communities. This is a great opportunity to build partnership working across Kent & Medway and I look forward to working with the teams to make a meaningful difference in the region.”

Jackie is expected to take up her new role in early April.
