Congratulations to our Deputy Head of Occupational Therapy, Charlotte Paterson, who has been selected as a finalist in the 'AHP Public Health Category' at Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s Awards 2025.
The category recognises an Allied Health Professionals (AHP) team or individual who has delivered service improvements which benefit population health and wellbeing and/or reduced health inequalities.
Charlotte was nominated by DGT colleague, Leanne Hunt, for her work on identifying unmet occupational therapy needs in patients with alcohol-related brain injuries and her development of assessment protocols, supervision of student placements and driving systemic change in this field - all of which contributed to the reduction in re-admissions and transformed care for this highly vulnerable group of patients.
Well done, Charlotte and best of luck for 14 October when the winners are announced!
