We are very pleased to share that DGT has won silver in the Waste Management Team of the Year category at the 2025 Excellence in Waste Management Awards.
We have been recognised for our efforts in waste segregation and sustainable waste management which have resulted in significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
This award is a clear demonstration of the outstanding teamwork between our Estates and Facilities, Infection Control, and clinical colleagues. Our close collaboration with Medirest, who manage our waste on-site, was also integral to this achievement.
This recognition is a significant accomplishment and proves our Trust is leading the way in this important field.
