Louise AshleyLouise Ashley, Chief Executive at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust (DGT), announced she is to leave the Trust in the autumn 2022 to take on a new role as CEO of Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Place-based Leader of the City & Hackney Health and Care Partnership, in East London.

Chairman Peter Coles said: “Louise has been our Chief Executive for over four years, leading the Trust through some substantial changes, managing it through some of the most difficult and trying times in its history. Louise has led the organisation not only to achieve a ‘Good’ CQC rating and become financially balanced, but her focus on quality, patient care and supporting staff has made DGT a place where people want to work and receive care. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Louise for everything she has done for Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and to wish her well in her new venture.”

Louise said: “I have really enjoyed my time at DGT and have been proud to be its Chief Executive and to have worked with the most extraordinary leadership team and staff groups. I’d like to thank everyone, both at DGT and across the wider system, for their support and encouragement over the four years. It has been one of the greatest honours of my professional career to have led DGT before and through the pandemic.”

The recruitment process for a substantive Chief Executive will commence as soon as possible, ensuring there is a smooth transition so that DGT can continue forward with its Journey to Outstanding.
