We are excited to be hosting an open evening for those considering a career at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. If you are an experienced Midwife and are looking to work in a vibrant, diverse, forward thinking environment, then we would love for you to come along to one of our open evening for the opportunity to #joinourfamily.

Our open evening event is a brilliant opportunity for you to find out more about DGT. We will be displaying virtual tours of some of our areas, along with multiple displays and presentations from the department showing our prospective staff why we have been voted one of the ‘Best Places to Work in the NHS’ (Health Service Journal).

In 2021 we are extremely proud and excited to have two midwifery staff who have been shortlisted for Royal College of Midwifery Awards in the categories of NMC Race Matters and NMC Excellence in Perinatal Health.

Our maternity mandatory training package is broad and includes regular utilisation of the well-resourced Trust simulation suite. We have high fidelity maternity and neonatal manikins, which you will have the opportunity to view, as there will be open access to the sim suite on the day.

We offer all employees some fantastic staff benefits and professional development opportunities, such as salary sacrifice schemes, a staff lottery and in-house training. Our sites also benefit from being in a great location. Whether you're attracted to the bright lights of the city or the countryside of Kent, both are within easy reach. We fully support flexible working and embrace equality and diversity, so encourage part time applicants.

Careers within the Trust are incredibly rewarding, and thanks to positive feedback from many of our patients, are definitely worthwhile. We already have an excellent reputation, with our most recent CQC visit earning us a ‘Good’ rating. With your help, we intend to continue to build on it with our Journey to Outstanding #J2O.
