Gabriel AwadziI am Gabriel Awadzi, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Consultant.

About me

I was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Lead for the Early Pregnancy Unit and Emergency Gynaecology in August 2009. I am widely experienced in general obstetrics and gynaecology. My special interests include early pregnancy disorders, emergency gynaecology, minimal access surgery and transvaginal ultrasound scanning.

I am accredited by the RCOG in both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. I received my training in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery under the guidance of Mr Jonathan Frappell, a surgeon of international repute. In 2005, I was invited to the Sidney Women’s Endoscopy Centre as a travelling Fellow of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy. Since my appointment, I have led the establishment of an award winning early pregnancy and emergency gynaecology service. This has led to the transformation of the care of women experiencing early pregnancy disorders such as miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and hyperemesis gravidarum.

I hold the level 1 Clinical Excellence Award.
