Work has begun on the expansion of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Darent Valley Hospital, following the confirmation of funding from both NHS England and Dartford Borough Council.
The investment will support the development of a modern, safe and sustainable ICU, increasing bed capacity and helping to meet both current demand and future growth in critical care services.
Early activity, including detailed surveying and planning, is already underway and will continue throughout the year.
