Employee Referral Scheme

Employee Referral Scheme

Can you recommend the Trust as an employer?  Do you know someone who has the right skills, knowledge, ability, attitude and motivation to join the Trust in a registered role? If so why not refer them for a job at the Trust and earn a reward.

Referral guidelines

  • You are eligible for a referral award when you refer an external candidate for a registered role in the Trust.  The referral must be the candidate’s first application to the Trust (within the last 12 months).  Former employees of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust are not eligible candidates for referral awards.

  • If the candidate you refer is taken on as an employee by the Trust, you will receive the referral award, via your pay, once the candidate has been with the Trust for three months.

  • Only one referral award can be given per candidate.  If a candidate is referred by more than one member of staff, the first referral received will be the one rewarded.

  • The candidate must include your name with the ‘Relationship’ section on the application form.

  • All Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust employees are eligible to participate in this scheme.  The only exception is the recruiting manager who cannot receive a referral award for someone reporting directly to them.  You need to be employed by the Trust both at the time you make the referral and at the time the reward becomes payable (when new employee reaches three months in post).

  • You must not make any commitment or oral promises of employment to the person whom you are referring.

  • All information regarding the recruitment process and the employment decision will remain strictly confidential.

  • Examples of ‘registered roles’ are; Registered Nurses and Midwives, Radiographers, Sonographers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Doctors.  This list is not exhaustive.
