  • NWK Careers Event - MK.jpg Careers EventOn Wednesday 27th March 19, Maria Kelly Trust Apprenticeship Coordinator went to support the North Kent College Dartford Campus annual Careers Fair, this was a really well attended event with the public sector employers and many private sector business's in attendance.   • Blanket AppealOur sincere thanks to all those who have been busy knitting and crochet blankets for our older patients. So far we have received over 50 blankets, please keep them coming! Rita Henderson, a patient on Ebony Ward has been using her blanket during the day to keep her legs warm and she is very much looking forward to taking it home so she can continue using it. 11/04/2019

This is Bernie's ONLY visit to #Kent this year, so our hospital is very lucky to have been chosen! Mayor of Dartford David Mote and Mayoress Ellen came to visit Bernie and let the project team know what is important to them regarding local cancer information services. 15/04/2019

  • MBE Awarded MBE Awarded to Shibu ChackoHugh congratulations to Shibu Chacko, Specialist Nurse - Organ Donation who is based at Darent Valley Hospital. Elizabeth, a Palliative Care Nurse suffers from Fowler Syndrome and also has chronic pain which means she has been unable to work for the last year. 14/06/2019

  • Highly Commended Highly CommendedCongratulations Dr Uduakobong Ndiyo our Darzi fellow and Dr Coral Akenzua from Medway NHS Foundation Trust who have been awarded "Highly Commended" in the Improving Patient and Community Engagement category at the Healthcare Transformation Awards. There were 100 projects entered into this category, 15 final nominations and to be placed 2nd is an AMAZING achievement.   • Trust Board Sample Patients mealsToday Trust Board members were invited to sample our patient's food in a tasting session laid on by Chris Cheel, Catering Manager and his team from Serco. Chief Executive Louise Ashley, Chairman Peter Coles and fellow board members sampled both the lunch and dinner menu on offer to our patients, they also sampled some modified textured meals. Modified texture meals are provided to patients with chewing and swallowing difficulties. 04/07/2019
