The Stride4Life Fun Day held on 10th July 2016 raised a whopping £22,975.61, this was our best year to date! The sponsored walks raised £12,581.91 – our thanks go to our walkers, Richard Pullman and his team at Darenth Country Park, Geoff Ayres and all his Marshals.

The various stalls raised £10,393.780 – our thanks to all our volunteers who helped in so many ways. Our thanks also to Dave Lamb DnP Events and Valley Part Radio who bring the day together and to all our entertainers who freely gave their time. Lastly a big thank you to all of you for coming along and supporting the day.

In addition to our Charity Day The Stride4Life team hold other events throughout the year. Plus a number of people have run their own events, below are some of the ways that people have helped throughout the year.

• A Charity Pamper evening held at the hospital raised £941.55, next Pamper Evening is being held on 24th March 2017.

  • Barbara’s Garden Party raised £2,168.16.
  • Peter Hammond, Captain of Cherry Tree Lodge Golf Club, who chose Stride4Life as one of his charities of the year. He raised £3000. 
  • Karen Youens and her family held a fundraising Barbecue and raised £1790.59 
  • Mel Simmons, a resident at Southdown’s Retirement Village, held an afternoon cream tea and raised £575.10.
  • Along with other donations the total raised for the year is £15,208.03.

Stride4Life raised a total of £38,183.64 in 2016 and since 2004 when it all started Stride4Life has raised a grand total of £370,195.64.

All of the money raised has helped Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust’s Cancer Fighting Fund with supports local cancer patients and their families.
