Sing-Along Christmas Concert

Sing-along Concert

DGT Choir

Yesterday the DGT Choir held their annual Sing-Along Christmas Concert in the hospital foyer. The concert opened with a blessing from Rev Martin Kelly, followed by the Choir and Shane Hampsheir debuting their first live performance of their charity single “By Your Side” (available to view below). This led onto an array of carols and Christmas favourites. During the rendition of Let It Snow, the choir scattered snow (courtesy of Costa Coffee) which was especially enjoyed by the children as it landed. Then whilst singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Father Christmas (aka Paul Seymour, Maternity Manager) arrived with presents and sweets for the children and adults. Susan Acott, Chief Executive closed the concert by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. Afterwards Mulled Wine and Mince Pies were served thanks to Carillion plc. A special thanks also needs to go to Valley Park Radio for arranging and managing the sound equipment.

The DGT Choir consists of many different staff members from many different departments who enjoy getting together and singing. This is a perfect way for them to unwind after a stressful day and meet socially. If any other staff members would like to join the choir please contact Leslieann Osbourne, Director Strategic Development and Performance on 01322 428431.
