Carol Service

Today a Carol Service was held at Darent Valley Hospital supported by the Salvation Army band. The service was well attended and was followed by refreshments and mince pies. The next service to be held at Darent Valley is a Roman Catholic Mass in the Chapel on Saturday 24th December at 10pm. Then on Sunday 25th December an Anglican Eucharist service in the Chapel will be held at 10am - everyone welcome.

Over the last year the Chaplaincy team had made over 13,000 pastoral visits to people of all religions to people of any or no faith. The team also have Christian prayers every morning. The Multi-Faith Prayer Room is used by different people all through the day and anyone is welcome to come and pray.

The Revd Martin Kelly said “I am incredible proud of the service we deliver including the 13,000 pastoral visits per year. I have been at Darent Valley for 12 years. Every year that I present the chaplaincy report to the board we are highly commended for the excellent and outstanding service we offer. I never doubt the value of what we are doing, I can be with people during their deepest grief to more happier occasion, all of which is truly humbling.”
