If you are booking your own patient transport please ensure that you state Outpatients at Queen Mary’s Main Hospital, not Cancer Centre as this relates to the Guys Cancer Centre based at Queen Mary’s.

Queen Marys Hospital is not an acute hospital; this means they do not provide emergency care.  They also do not treat COVID patients, so there is less risk to you as a patient receiving your treatment.


Opening times

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

Outside these hours, and at weekends and bank holidays, the department operates an on-call service.

Blood Tests - Appointments Only

Blood tests returned to Darent Valley Hospital on Monday 9th November 2020. Please visit the Phlebotomy webpage for more details and advice on how to book an appointment. Blood tests need to carried out at Darent Valley Hospital or Queen Mary's Hospital, please do not attend Gravesend Hospital.

Laboratory Services

Laboratory service is provided North Kent Pathology Service (NKPS), which is independent from clinical haematology department. Please contact them for any laboratory issues and results.
