Patient and Visitor Parking
Parking (staff / visitors)

Parking (patients / visitors)

Car parking spaces at Darent Valley Hospital are limited so please leave plenty of time for parking when you have to visit the hospital. Wherever possible we would recommend using public transport or arranging to come in one car if more than one person is visiting. Drop off areas are available at the front of the hospital and offer a quick and easy alternative to parking on site.

  • Four on site car parks for the public.

  • All car parks have clear signs (see a map of our car park locations).
  • A disabled parking only car park is available.

Collect ticket at entry barrier and keep with you. Before returning to your vehicle please take your ticket to one of the payment machines. Payment is by coin or banknote - credit cards and Apple pay are also accepted.

The payment machines are:

  • Inside the main entrance.
  • Outside the Saba car park office (parking shop) and security office.

When you have paid, your ticket will be returned for you to use at the exit barrier. You cannot pay for parking at the exit barrier. In case of any difficulty, please contact the car park office, outside the main entrance, or use the intercom buttons on the payment machines or at the exit barriers.

Disabled drivers

Disabled drivers with valid blue badges park for the minimum tariff at the hospital. There is one disabled public car park (car park 2) which has spaces for designated disabled users only. If you park in this car park you will need to purchase a £1.50 ticket from the machine and display this next to your blue badge on your dashboard. This car park is regularly checked to ensure that those parking there are entitled to do so.

If you park in car parks 1, 3 or 4 and are a disabled badge holder we advise that you leave your time clocks displayed and take your picture badge with you (as well as the parking ticket). On leaving the hospital take your ticket and blue badge to the car parking office (parking shop) located in the main car park. From all main public car parks there is disabled access with sloped kerbs.

Motorcycle and bicycle parking is provided in a dedicated area opposite the Saba security office and is free of charge.
