Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is proud to provide a number specialist services that are available to patients as part of our Planned Care Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup. These include outpatient assessments, diagnostic tests (including imaging, cardiac diagnostics and endoscopy), routine day-case and short stay inpatient surgery, and medical treatments and therapies - delivered locally in Bexley.

Services closer to home

Our aim is to provide greater availability of a range of high quality planned health services for our patients which are delivered closer to their home. 

More specialities

We have increased the choice of health services for patients and local populations to offer more outpatient clinics, more surgery on a day-case basis and more inpatient procedures, so patients have faster access to our services.

Our surgical services form part of our Planned Care Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital which are located on the 4th floor in the Main Building and offer patients planned routine surgery in a range of specialities such as Breast Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecological Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pain Management, Urogynaecological Surgery and Urology Surgery. These services are further supported by our specialist nurses and other allied staff.


Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is located in the outpatient area on 1st floor in the Main Building which has 21 consulting rooms, 1 phlebotomy, 1 procedure and 2 treatment rooms where our patients continue to receive high quality care in a purpose-built area for an improved patient experience. The Outpatient Department is open Monday – Friday, 08.30-17.00.

Imaging Services

Our imaging services are located on the 1st floor in the Main Building as part of our Planned Care Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital. These include: 


Opening hours are 08.30-17.00 Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). The Department operates an emergency rota from 08.00-22.30, 7-days a week to support the wards and onsite Urgent Care Centre.

Please note we cannot perform x-rays on patients that have had an injury to the spine or pelvis, please attend a hospital with an A&E Department.

Erith and District Hospital X-ray

Opening hours: 0830 - 1230 - 13.00 - 16.00


Diagnostic endoscopic examinations such as Diagnostic Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy and Flexible Sigmoidoscopy are provided at the Endoscopy Centre in the Newland Building as part of our Planned Care Centre to provide patients with a high-quality service, in a relaxed and friendly environment. 

Opening hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 08.30-12.30 and 13.00-17.30. The unit does not operate on a Tuesday.

Need to cancel an appointment / operation?

If you have an appointment or operation booked at Queen Mary's Hospital and you need to cancel or change it, you can do so simply by completing one of these forms:

Please do not use this form if you need to change either an Ophthalmology (eye) or Dental appointment, you MUST contact the relevant Department at Queen Mary’s Hospital to rearrange it.  For new appointments for Ophthalmology ring 01689 865 800, for follow-ups the number is 0203 961 3438.  For new appointments for Dental the number is 0203 299 4988 whilst for follow-up appointments it is 0203 960 5505.
