We are receiving a lot of calls from the public about the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine from this hospital.  Darent Valley is not one of the first 50 hospitals to receive the vaccine. We are prepared and awaiting delivery, but at this point in time we are not aware of when that might be.

We will be taking part in the vaccination programme but there will also be a range of other places providing vaccination including GP services, pharmacies and large vaccination centres.

In all cases appointments are by invitation; there are no walk-in Covid-19 vaccination services.

You will be contacted when you can have the vaccine. Please be patient and wait to be contacted.

People are being invited for vaccination based on a nationally set priority list. The elderly and most at risk from Covid-19 will be vaccinated first. You can read about the prioritisation here.

You can read more about the vaccine and how it is being provided in Kent and Medway here.

We are currently under significant pressure with patient care and we would kindly ask that the public do not call the hospital to enquire about the availability of the vaccine.  Thank you.
